"Look! It's a purple unicorn. The veeeery best kiiind. Look! Look! It's a unicorn. The veeery beest kiiind!" Heidi sang, pointing to the woods where a very confused purple unicorn sat. 'I thought humans couldn't see us?' It pondered steadily, then ran away, leaving the unknowing human behind.
"Hmm. Do you think there is a such thing as a purple unicorn?" Heidi asked, slipping suddenly and falling flat on her butt. "Owww." She groaned.

Michael stared at her for a moment, before casting his eyes to the unicorn as he walked away. "I... don't even want to know what that was about," he mumbled, shaking his head. Leave it all up to one of Hailie's friends to spot a purple unicorn. A unicorn he could live with. But a purple unicorn. Did they even exist?
He watched as she fell, and slightly taken aback, immediately ended up falling as well. "Ow... now you have to teach me how to get back," he told her, shaking his head. "That hurt." Perhaps it wasn't as easy as he'd thought just minutes ago.

Heidi burst into a fit of giggles. As the minutes passed, they increased until she was heaving with laughter, her foot twitching. What she didn't notice was that it was cracking the ice in the middle, where she was, and soon it was going to open and she'd fall in.
"AAAAAA!" A terrified scream escaped her as she splashed into the freezing water that had broken the ice with her skate. Now she would probably have skate-phobia. Not a good thing to have. It was so cold....so.....collddd..

Michael mumbled something under his breath, shaking his head. There it was. The reason he didn't like skating. Well, that, and falling, but this was much more severe of a problem. "Heidi...?" Pfft. Of course she couldn't hear him. She was under the water. Gosh. Stupid much?
He glanced under at the dark water, glancing down at the ice underneath him first, checking whether or not he would go under as well. Oh geez. That would be terrible. His eyes scanned underwater to see if he could see her, and then spotting an unmistakeable lock of blonde hair, as well as a now quite pale hand. He reached out for it, grabbing her wrist and dragging her back up, before dragging her back across the ice over to... the snow. Well, that was much of an improvement... but at least there was nothing to fall through.
"Heidi?"

It was so cold. Heidi remembered falling through the ice, and had spotted the Giant Squid with....Little Squids! Awww. She must've been pregnant when the stupid Death Eaters threw sticks at her last week and one got their arm amputated. She shuddered under the water as she watched the black and blue and purple and green things swim up to her, the largest one making her feel dizzy before someone pulled her out.
"Heidi?" She heard, and everything....and I mean everything - the snow, the trees covered with snow, the ice, the lake, and Michael - went black as she floated into unconciousness.

Great. He was left there with an unconcious girl as his responsibility, he had no idea how to get his skates off, and even if he did get them off Heidi had made him abandon his shoes. He sighed, pulling off the laces as quickly as possible and then glancing around, eyes scanning at the snow-covered ground by the tree, as he searched for his shoes. After all, he wasn't running back up to the castle with her in sock feet. Where was Hailie and her idiocy but ability to get things done quickly when you actually did want her there?
He finally found them, shoving them on his feet and picking Heidi up in as stable a position as possible, starting back up to the school as well as he could. It wasn't that she was /heavy/... it was more the fact that he wasn't used to having to carry people around.
