You either love them, or you hate them. However, you'll have to learn to live with them eventually. A forum needs some boundaries to it.
1. Please be literate. If you can't post at least three paragraphs when starting a thread and at least one paragraph as a response, the Afterward Happenings will unfortunately not be able to accept you. Please note that one proper paragraph is five to ten sentences.
2. We will not accept any perfect or desperate characters. If you feel uncertain about whether your character falls under these categories, please feel free to post your application. It shouldn't be too hard to find out - we always leave comments.
3. You do not need to create an account before posting your application. If you do post an audition as a Guest, please mention somewhere what your username will be.
4. Your username does not matter. You may make it your name, a character name, or even just a word. However, your display name must be changed to your character's first and last name, with a space in the center, and capitalized.
5. Please post in the c-box at the bottom, or at least in the OOC Chat. It helps you to meet new people; why would you want to join a site where no one knew who you were?
6. Your character must have a picture. They can be a celebrity, or just some person (yourself if you wish). I will not, however, permit you to draw your characters.
7. We are open to all age groups. Proboards requires you to be at least 13 to register. However, the Administration group for the Afterward Happenings is very lenient. If you feel like you must lie about your age, it shouldn't be very difficult.
8. If any content in a thread will be over a rating of PG-13, please note that in the thread title. No one is forced to read something they do not want to. To show that you have read the rules, please post 'play with fire' somewhere in your application.
9. If you do not post for over a month after your application has been accepted, you will be sent an e-mail or neomail (assuming you are on Neopets). If, after that, you do not post for another two weeks your account will be permanently deleted.
10. If you must leave for a short period of time, please post in the Random Chat board. We don't want you to feel pressured to come online if you are experiencing problems in reality.
11. You must have a 100x100 pixel avatar of your character, and a signature. Your signature may not stretch the page. If it does and you do not fix it, you will receive a personal message requesting it to be fixed.
12. There may only be one character to an account. No exceptions.
13. We are currently not accepting new female characters. Remember now kiddies, there are males in this world too. There are too many girls running around - a nightmare, no?
If you think there are any rules that need to be added, please personal message Admin. Thank you.
