So here he was. Carrying a girl that was passed out because she hadn't listened when he'd said that skating on the lake would be a bad idea. Alright, so maybe he hadn't said it, but he'd been thinking it, and it was her fault for not being able to read his mind, right? Right. Totally right. So why was he still here, carrying her to the hospital wing, his ankles about to give out on him. They were sporting several blisters, thanks to the fact that he hadn't tightened his skates properly, obviously not knowing how...
Now. He hoped she didn't have something his frostbite. That would be... awful, he supposed was the right word. Awful. Dreadful. Terrible. Horrible. They were fairly decent words to be used to describe the situation. He was carrying an unconcious girl to the hospital wing. Any second now Hailie would come around the corner and totally freak out. Quite sad.
He left her on a bed in the hospital wing, taking a seat in the chair and blinking over at the nurse. She wasn't busy at the moment, yet seemed to not want to help anyone too much... Huh. Some nurse she was. Did he really have to go over there and ask her? Apparently not, thankfully, as she walked over to the two of them, muttering something about how students shouldn't be allowed to skate on the lake.
My thoughts exactly.

Sun's up A little after twelve Make breakfast for myself Leave the work for someone else People say They say that it's just a phase They tell me to act my age, Well I am On this perfect day, Nothing's standing in my way On this perfect day, When nothing can go wrong It's the perfect day, Tomorrow's gonna come too soon I could stay, forever as I am On this perfect day ((Twooo hourrss laaattterrr))
This day was so not perfect. For one, Heidi had fallen into - not onto, but into - the Lake. Because it cracked with her skate because Michael made her laugh so hard. So technically it wasn't her fault. It was Michael's. As hazel eyes opened gently, Nurse Higdon scolded her. "Miss Weasley, you should be so much more careful while skating."
"I'm sorry," Heidi mumbled, gripping her throbbing head and shivering with cold as she lay in her bed. "Where's Michael?" She asked sleepily, and the Nurse rolled her eyes, heading out to get the Pucey teen.

Michael sighed, fiddling with his shoelace as he sat on the floor. Yes, the floor. Something that he'd once picked up from Hailie was that the floor was the best place for stressed people. And Michael was stressed. He'd just accidentally caused his sister's best friend to knock herself out by falling into the icy lake. That must have sucked. So there he was, sitting on the floor against the wall by the door of the hospital wing... until it opened and he heard someone calling, "Mister Pucey?"
So she was awake? Unless they were letting him know that he'd just put her into a coma and that it was all his fault, and that his sister would hate him for life... although that was a quite far-fetched theory. Although, he supposed, it could be possible. It could have been all his fault. He supposed, however, that it wasn't, if you thought about it. Yes, he had made her laugh, but on the other hand, she was the one that had dragged him skating in the first place, making it her fault.
He got up off the floor, however, after a few moments of careful consideration, and walked into the hospital wing. She was awake. Thank heavens. She wasn't in a coma. And, he had also come to the conclusion that it was most certainly /not/ all his fault.
"Heidi?"

It was really Michael's fault. First, she had been skating. Then, he was looking bored so she made him go skating. So then she fell and he fell and she started laughing and her skate broke the ice - literally - and she fell in. So technically, it was his fault for looking bored in the first place. Therefore, it wasn't Heidi's fault that she fell in and had a terrible headache, bleary eyes, and was freezing to death.
She had closed her eyes while the nurse had gone to get Michael, all the while going 'tsk tsk tsk.' Heidi wasn't sure what tsk meant, but it sounded bad. "Ow!" She yelped suddenly as the nurse started to wrap up her injured foot. "What the bloody was that for?" She glared at the nurse and she left the room as Michael came in. "Hi, Michael."

Michael raised his eyebrows, taking the seat next to the bed she was on at the moment. "Are you okay?" he asked. He was now still attempting to convince himself that it was most certainly /not/ his fault that she had fallen in. After all, if she hadn't come over in the first place she wouldn't have been able to see him to ask him to go skating, and then they wouldn't have fallen, and she wouldn't have nearly frozen to death. Yes. That was a very logical explanation for this situation.
So there was a conclusion. It was definitely not his fault that she'd fallen in... right?
