A pale skinned hand reached to the side of the boy absentmindedly as he read, his light green eyes darted across the page of the book at top speed. Unaware of the other kids outside, Wyatt flipped the page of his book: Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf: A better and Accurate Description of the Werewolf. The book was written by his mother and father's friend, Remus Lupin, who just so happened to be a werewolf.
His messenger bag sat next to the tree trunk he was laying on, and upon the bag was a notebook. The notebook was full of neat handwriting. It said at the top: Things I can do. The page went on about how Wyatt could chalange the deatheaters in the school, and Voldemort. But, to do this, he would need friends.
He sighed, and closed his book. It wasn't like he didnt have friends. He did, but they were mostly aquaintances, at this point. Wyatt folded his uniformed legs to his chest, and sighed. What could he do?
Wyatt sat, with his back against the tree, and his dark blonde hair whipping in the wind. As he watched the waves, he heard a shout, and looked over, and sighed. Another deatheater, performing a curse on a first year. It was a good thing he could make himself pretend to accept what they were doing.

Ange walked outside, onto the school grounds. She'd just gotten out of her last class of the day - thank heavens - and had decided to come out here. Why here of all places? She wanted to visit her tree. It was her tree, the tree that she had found in her first year and claimed as her own just because she loved it, and what did she find upon coming closer? There was someone sitting there.
What was his name? Wasn't he a Weasley? Well, she wasn't supposed to converse with anyone with Gryffindor parents... Ah well. Her parents weren't anywhere nearby - as far as she knew. It wouldn't be the first time she'd run into one of her parents around a corner for /some/ reason.
Wyatt? Yeah, that was it. Wyatt. Wasn't he in her Charms class or something like that? Yeah... that was it. Then again, the new school year was confusing her anyways, so she couldn't be certain. Deciding that she might as well forget about introductions, seeing as most people already knew her as 'that one Malfoy kid', she walked up.
"You're sitting at my tree."
Her tree. Was there something funny about the way she said it? Either way, she ended up cracking a smile at what she herself had said. Blunt much? Shaking the thought off, she took a seat a little ways away from him. Who cared if he'd been there first, or if he didn't want her there?
It was her tree, she'd claimed it in her first year, and she was not being moved from this spot... unless, of course, her parents got there, which she doubted.

"You're sitting at my tree."
Wyatt's head snapped up. He surveyed her, staring at her white-blonde hair before speaking. "Who are you?" He really didn't know. He never really paid any attention to anyone here.
He put his book back onto his lap, and awaited her response. He almost knew she was a Malfoy. Well... he did know. She had never gotten in trouble from the deatheaters.
Wyatt pushed his hair back and smiled at the girl. "I'm Wyatt, by the way."

Ange smiled. "I'm... Ange," she told him. She had a feeling that he'd already predicted her to be a Malfoy - the hair and eyes revealed it all - but, just if he hadn't... well, she didn't really want him to. It wasn't exactly the greatest last name to have.
I'm Wyatt, by the way. Ah... so she'd actually been right on something for once. Perhaps the school day hadn't been a complete waste, seeing as, for one thing, he was one of the first people that day that hadn't averted his eyes at the sight of her, and for another, he wasn't exactly... not cute.
"Aren't you, like... in my Charms class or something? What year are you in?"

"Oh... Well, nice to meet you then, Ange." He said, smiling to himself as he gazed over across the water. "I'm a fifth year. And yes, we are in the same class. I think. Fourth Hour, correct?" He watched her, slightly amused. "But i'm not giving up this tree." He paused, knowing her reaction. She was a Malfoy, after all. He began to twirl the grass in his fingers again, subconciously, of course.

"Um... yeah, I think so," Ange told him. Honestly? She had no clue when her classes were, and had copied them onto her hand - although that had, of course, come off.
"Oh, but, you see, it's not just any tree," she informed him with a slight raise of her eyebrows. "It's /my/ tree." She wasn't, at all, a conceited snob. She was just messing around, bored with school (despite the fact that it was still the first day back) and needing something to do. And if that meant bugging the crap out of people she'd just met, so be it. "And I may have to resort to fighting for it," she laughed softly.

Wyatt smiled to himself again anf put his book down next to him. "I'd be pretty willing to fight, myself." He flashed her a smile and stuck out his hand. "Wyatt Arthur Weasley." He started to laugh, and put his hands back into his pockets. "Yeah, well. Honestly, I think you should memorize your schedule. I memorized mine at breakfeast." He smiled again. stop smiling at her! He commanded himself. She's a MALFOY for God sakes! "And... I was here first." He smirked slightly.

"Angelina Janette Malfoy," Ange told him with a slight grimace at her own name, before shrugging it off. "Not too proud of it though..." Then again, who would be? Not everyone actually did want to be better than everyone else...
"Nah, I could always read them off of the back of my hand," she shrugged. "Besides, I'd get them mixed up. I can't remember anything unless it has something to do with Quidditch." Ah, the effects of growing up with Jason. You didn't know Quidditch until you'd had a conversation with him...
"I don't think so," she told him with a slight scoff. "I've been here for four years. Have fun finding another tree." She smirked, although it ended up a grin as she shook her head.

"Janette, eh?" He snickered at the name. "Is it after your Great Pure-Blooded Grandmother?" He smiled, it was a joke after all. "But It will come off the back of your hand, Ange. You should remember that." He looked down at his feet and shuffeled them. "I hope you know..." He smiled at her, his eyes alive. "That I will not give up this tree. It's very special to me..." He looked around. "Unless you want to SHARE it... i mean, because there is no other trees as COOL as this one, I mean, look at those branches. One of a kind, most definitely."

"Nah, I'm just lucky I didn't end up with my actual grandmother's name," Ange told him with a slight laugh. "Ew. I could be Angelina /Narcissa/ Malfoy. Well, Janette's, my... I think my mum's name." And, of course, she hated both. Never even get her /started/ on her last name.
"Well, then, I guess we'll have to share the tree," she retorted, rolling her eyes. "Because someone here doesn't know how to give something up," she added with a nasty but obviously joking tone in her voice.
"Not mentioning any names, of course," she added for good measure, smiling.

"Hey! I'm named after my grandfather too! Well... You aren't..." He cut himself off. "Just... forget what I said."
He sighed, sitting back down. "I DO know how to give things up, thank you VERY much, I'm just stubborn." He retorted, smiling just the same.
"And, you know... This tree is meant to be a secret tree. It's like... I don't know. Like, a magic tree. Even though we ARE magic..." He blushed.
Wyatt put his book back on his lap and sighed. He really wanted to talk, but the book was calling to him...

"Well, I'm not... what?" Ange asked, raising her eyebrows slightly. "Obnoxious? Rude? Annoying? A typical Malfoy? /What?/" Yeah, that was kind of what you got from caring a tad too much about what people thought of you. Particularly people that you'd just met - first impressions meant everything.
"Oh, you're /just/ stubborn," she giggled softly, shaking her head. "Ah, I can't pretend that I'm not though..." She shrugged. She seemed to be doing quite a lot of shrugging, actually.
A smile crossed her lips at his theory, and then of course she noticed the blush. "Wyatt Arthur Weasley... is that a blush?" Yeah, full names were fun to say. A bit hypocritical on her part, considering she wouldn't stand anyone using her full name, but this was /Ange/, wasn't it? She was never meant to be normal.

"There was no blush, Ange, and you know it." Wyatt said, his face getting redder as he tried to deny it. It wasn't in his nature to talk like this with someone. Normally, it was small talk, not deep talk. "You know..." He said, looking around at the forest next to them. "This could be our spot. You know, where we meet, and no one else knows. Kinda like the old Room of Requirement, only we are the only ones to know. Get my drift?" He actually thought this was a spactacular idea, but there was one problem... "If anyone in my family finds out I'm hanging out with you, a Malfoy..." He stopped. "Well, do you really count? I think you're more of a half Malfoy. You're not even in Slytherin!"

Ange laughed slightly. "If you say so. I have something I could against you now though, keep that in mind." She wasn't one to actually do something like that, although he should have, at the very least, a clear warning.
She smiled slightly as she looked over at the forest. She hadn't actually been in there, although her brother had, once, with one or two of his friends. Apparently, it had been in their second year and had scared the living daylights out of them. "Yeah," she smiled. "That'd be cool."
"Oh, trust me, you count as a Weasley way more than I count as a Malfoy," she added, shaking her head. "At least your parents would listen if you tried to reason. My parents just forget it all and skip to whatever punishment they have." She grimaced, casting her eyes to the lake, which was quite a ways away.

"Thank you. Now you can blackmail me." He grinned, smiling at her. "Some Weasley I am." He scoffed, glaring at the ground. He was not going to elaborate, not one bit. Thats how people became defensive and tried to prove that THEY had the worst life. Hey, his life was not bad, but it wasn't good either. On one hand, he had his mother, over protective with high expectations, and his father, slightly more easy-going, with 'Do whatever' expectations. "I think we are our family's rejects." He said solomly, looking at her. "Nothing like our bloodline tells us to be. My mother is no Weasley. Neither am I." He sighed, and moved ovver a bit, so she could sit by the tree too. Wyatt ran his fingers through his hair, shook it out, and sighed.
